I actually LOL’d… not very mature, but…

Yes, I really did LOL (Laugh Out Loud, just in case) as I was being mature and reporting my blog as being “mature”.  Something tells me that this won’t be family-oriented reading once it gets going.

After explaining my intent for the blog and respectfully asking them to flag it, they sent me to following screen… to confirm that they will look into it… to my giggling delight.

In polite company, I refer to genitals as “bits”. For example, “his man-bits were visible hanging from his shorts”. Or maybe, “after that party last night, she’s walking funny to give her girly-bits a chance to breathe”.

...my bits are flying... LOOK OUT!

…my bits are flying…  LOOK OUT!

Interactive Fiction and Gaming

I like games. I’ll play almost any game once… or twice… or more.

Currently, I’m playing:

  • CoC — “Why, yes, I do enjoy CoC. Wait, that sounds a bit vulgar…”
  • SlaveMaker — How many Anime characters can I put a collar onto?
  • LoTRO — Mainstream gaming?! How dare I risk my Indie-Cred.  *shrug*
  • …and a couple of others.

I’m also testing a few games. I will not list them because some of them are under NDA, and others are not ready for the public to join.

I have also been influenced by the writings / works of Alyssa S., whose fiction includes Slaves of Acteon (EPIPHANY!) and Nano.  She’s also noteworthy for the interactive fiction piece, Through Sophie’s Eyes.  I must admit I wasn’t aware she created Acteon and Sophie until recently.  But both were quite memorable.  (I have since found her blog and lurk there.)  If she gives permission, I will link to her.

I mention Alyssa S. because after I read Slaves of Acteon years ago, I sent her an email asking for permission to write stories in Acteon.  She said yes.   I have been writing many stories in that world.  (Some of those stories may end up polished and posted, if things work out.)

I have a few ideas as to how to link this project and Acteon… with her permission, of course.  Time to bounce over to her blog and initiate contact.  (She might even remember our short email interaction. I would be flattered.)

(PS: This post was going to be about interactive fiction, but it worked out.)

Game of Slaves – Poll #1

“Game of Slaves” is my working title for the game I want to play.

(All my other genius ideas for names were too plain, or already in use.)

I have a LOT of ideas for potential content and features, and I need some feedback from you, my potential players.  What do YOU want to see in a fantasy slavery setting?

And so it begins…

I have been playing games of all sorts for as long as I could remember.  If a game I wanted to play didn’t exist, then I would create one.  Seriously.  The games I created weren’t always polished or detailed, but they kept me entertained.

I’m not just talking about computer games.  Long before I put my fingers on a computer keyboard, I was making games and rules with my Lego’s, telling stories, creating minor adventures, and having fun.

This brings me to this page, and this site.

I have long enjoyed interactive fiction – from Adventure to Zork; from “Softporn” to Leisure Suit Larry “Box Office Bust” (yes, they’re in the same line, and no I don’t recommend the latter); from “choosing my own adventure”(*) to this… right here.

(*= Another website author was hit with legal contact for using a service-marked phrase.)

This is Game of Slaves.

I’ve played Princess Maker, Cute Knight, and SlaveMaker, but I have yet to see a game that lets you see/play things from the opposite side.  Being a long-time gamer, I like to see new perspectives.

But Slave Maker, in reverse?   Being a long-time kinkster (in my mind, at least), such a game would get my attention!  If done right, the game could have a lot of replay value.  I have long sought such a game.  But how could it be fun, being told what to do?  And then, just the other day, it hit me how to do that!

Stay tuned for more info!
